Account Ownership Policy
This Account Ownership Policy explains how KM Consulting handles workspace ownership and admin access.
1. Workspace Ownership
A workspace generally belongs to the customer, company, organization, or legal entity that created, paid for, or controls the workspace.
Business data entered into a workspace generally belongs to the customer or organization, not an individual employee user.
2. Admin Control
Workspace admins may manage users, access, workspace settings, and content depending on available features.
Customers are responsible for keeping admin access current.
3. Employee Departures
If an employee leaves an organization, the customer is responsible for removing or updating that user’s access.
If the departing user was the only admin, KM Consulting may require verification before transferring access.
4. Ownership Disputes
KM Consulting may not be able to resolve ownership disputes without documentation.
KM Consulting may request:
- proof of business ownership
- billing records
- domain ownership
- written authorization
- government identification
- employment verification
- corporate records
- other reasonable evidence
KM Consulting may temporarily restrict ownership changes while reviewing a dispute.
5. Billing Contact
The billing contact is not always the workspace owner.
KM Consulting may consider workspace activity, company domain, billing information, written agreements, and other evidence when reviewing ownership.
6. Transfer of Ownership
KM Consulting may transfer ownership or admin control after receiving reasonable verification.
